Activation verifies your key with the licensing server and unlocks Lùmen on that Mac. When it fails, one of three things covers almost every case.
Deactivate the license on the old Mac first, then activate on the new one with your original key. If the old Mac is gone (sold, dead, wiped) and you can't deactivate it, contact us and we'll reset the activations for you.
A major hardware repair (like a logic-board swap) can make the Mac look like a new machine — if Lùmen asks you to activate again after one, just re-enter your key.
Once activated, the license keeps working offline for up to 30 days between validation checks — plenty for a workshop Mac that rarely goes online. Connect it to the internet and open Lùmen every now and then to refresh the validation. If the app ever locks after a long offline stretch, going online and relaunching restores it.
Your key is in the purchase confirmation email from Lemon Squeezy (our payment provider) — search your inbox for “Lemon Squeezy” or “Lùmen”. Can't find it? Contact us from (or mentioning) the email address you used at purchase and we'll look it up.
If Lùmen doesn't work as expected, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase — contact us or use the Lemon Squeezy order page linked in your confirmation email.
Reach out to support with the email address you used at purchase and roughly when you bought — we typically respond within 24 hours.
