Lùmen is a desktop application that runs entirely on your Mac. We are committed to protecting your privacy and collecting only the minimum data necessary to provide our services.

2. Data We Collect

License Activation

When you activate your license, the following data is sent to our payment processor (LemonSqueezy):

Your license key
Your device name (e.g., "John's MacBook Pro")

This data is used solely to validate your license and enforce the activation limit.

Website

This website uses cookies only to remember your cookie consent preference. We do not use analytics or tracking cookies. We do not collect personal data through this website beyond what is necessary for the purchase process handled by LemonSqueezy.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

Lùmen does not collect, transmit, or store:

Your files, images, or designs
Your GCode or machine commands
Usage statistics or telemetry
Location data
Any personal information beyond license activation

All your work stays on your Mac. The app communicates only with your laser engraver (via USB) and with LemonSqueezy (for license validation).

4. Third-Party Services

LemonSqueezy processes payments and manages licenses. Their privacy policy is available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

5. Data Storage

Your license key and activation ID are stored securely in your Mac's Keychain. App preferences (machine settings, presets) are stored locally in UserDefaults. No data is stored on external servers.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Deactivate your license from within the app

7. Children's Privacy

Lùmen is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
